Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a Los Angeles Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned video game developer died after his automobile collided and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
