Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms passed over the state, bringing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Large Hailstones and Widespread Damage
Residents witnessed large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that various areas across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.
