Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the US has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.
Officials reported debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
