He further clarified that the signal was completely accidental, happening amid the excitement following the team’s last score. “I simply put up the wrong digit,” he noted. “It was accidentally done. This is sincere. Should you call it unplanned, you can. But it got corrected rapidly.”

This is not the first time an league proprietor has been penalized for misconduct. Recent cases involve:
- Panthers proprietor Tepper was fined $300,000 for throwing a drink at spectators in early 2024.
